On Wednesday, November 21, 2012, there will be a lecture by Rose Feldman in Jerusalem on: “Amazing What You Find in Old Newspapers: Case Study of the Historical Jewish Press Website”. Rose Feldman was the Secretary of the Tel Aviv Branch of the Israel Genealogical Society, a member of the planning committee for the 2004 IAJGS conference in Jerusalem, co-coordinator of Eretz Israel Records Index (EIRI) on the IGS website, webmaster of the IGS website and of four shtetl sites on the JewishGen website. More recently Rose has been the coordinator of the Database project for IGRA and with her guidance and knowledge our database collection has grown impressively.
The lecture will be held at the Dr. Max & Gianna Glassman Family Center, 37 Pierre Koenig, Jerusalem. IGRA members have free entrance while AACI members pay 15 NIS and guests pay 20 NIS. The doors are open at 18:30 for those interested in some research assistance or schmoozing. The lecture, in English, will begin at 19:00.
