IGRA has added ten new databases and updated two others, adding over 28,000 new listings. The preview will give you a good idea about our latest additions. In order to release new records quickly IGRA posts some records in their original form without transliteration.
1923-1937 Jewish Lawyers Association Jerusalem – (images available)
Member of the Jerusalem branch of the Lawyers Association. The lists include 393 names, but some members appear in all the years. The documents are from the Israel State Archives.
1926 Haifa Burial Society Ledger – (images available)
The 157 names listed were in the ledger of the burial society of the Jewish community of Haifa. The ledger is in City Archives – Haifa.
1932-1946 Jews of Kurdistan Union – (images available)
The British Mandatory government and later the government of the State of Israel required that all organizations to be registered. The organizations informed the government every time they held elections of the officers. The officers listed served during the years 1932-1946. The documents are from the Israel State Archives.

1937-1938 Apartments Jerusalem – (images available)
This seems to be a report that was prepared in those years of apartments and stories in Jerusalem. It includes two categories: empty apartments in houses of Jews, and apartments in which Jews lived in houses of Arabs. The document is from the Jerusalem Municipal Archives.
Poster Collection – (images available)
Three different posters are in this collection: Candidates for the municipal elections in Bnei Braq by the Commissioner of Elections 1943, and two dealing with Ultra-Orthodox Jews not participating in the Va’ad HaLeumi of the Jewish community in Palestine 1928. It includes 266 names. Posters on walls around the orthodox community aim to inform the residents of various aspects of their lives. These documents are from a private donor
Tel Yosef Meshek – (images available)
The folder includes two sets. One is a list of members of the kibbutz Tel Yosef with the year of their birth including those born between 1892 -1953 that were alive in 1971. The second set is of members accepted to the kibbutz in the years 1952-1955. These were part of a folder in the Israel State Archives.
Voters’ Register for the Jerusalem Municipal Elections 1950 – (images available) update
Voters’ lists since the founding of the State of Israel include residents of all denominations. This release includes 5,896 voters and is for voters’ precincts 25-36. The original document is in the Jerusalem Municipal Archives.
1949 Lawyers – (images available)
This list is of 126 members of the Jerusalem Advocates Association. For some of those listed, it includes information about their position or place of employment at that time and their locality. The document is from the archive of Moshe Doukhen Adv. in the Israel State Archives.
Name Changes 1961 & 1962 – update
Official name changes were published in the government publication Yalkut HaPirsumin (Official Gazette) through 1973. There can be many reasons for a name change and all official changes go through the Ministry of Interior. This release includes the publications of 1961 & 1962 and includes 10,095 names. These publications are in the National Library of Israel, law libraries and offices, and partially on the internet.

Every five years elections are held for the municipal and regional councils. Elections were held in February 2024 for most of the country. This list includes all 9,109 candidates as listed on the government website on the internet.

Every five years elections are held for the mayors and chairman of the municipal and regional councils. Elections were held in February 2024 for most of the country. This list includes all 650 candidates as listed on the government website on the internet.
The IGRA databases are now searchable to all registrants. The search results page is also available to all registrants. Additional details regarding most databases are only available to paid IGRA members. Certain exceptions exist due to requests of the specific archives.
