Twelve new databases and another five were updated this month on IGRA’s AID collection, adding over 49,739 new listings, many of them with images. There four files that deal with the Ottoman Empire period: personnel staff of the Bikur Holim Hospital in Jerusalem, a poster listing Jewish males called up to serve in the Turkish Army, a listing of members of Kolel America and update of the database of burials of Sepharadim in Jerusalem. Burials Sepharadim Jerusalem 1853-1893 – (images available) update
This is the fourth installment of the collection in the Jerusalem Municipal Archives. There are two kinds of registries: the Parnas registries and the registries of the Sephardic Community Committee in Jerusalem. This installment includes 3,458 names buried during the years 1853-1893. The original registries were transcribed into modern Hebrew script by Efraim Levy.

A list of 31 personnel of the Bikur Holim Hospital in Jerusalem was found in the collection of the Israel State Archives.
Poster Call-Up to the Ottoman Army – Jerusalem 1912 – (images available)
This is a poster listing 99 Jewish males in Jerusalem called up to the Turkish Army. They were requested to bring their registration and of their father. It is from a private collection.
Kolel America 1912 – (images available)
The list of members is from a report written by Chaim Nachman Bialik endorsing the needy members. It includes a list of 261 names. It is found in a collection of documents dealing with various kolels between 1910-1920 at the National Library of Israel.

British Mandate Guards Force (Notrim) Collection 1936-1948 – (images available) update
The Notrim were Jewish auxiliaries, mainly police, set up in 1936 by the British in Mandatory Palestine during the 1936–39 Arab revolt. These ledgers are an everyday record of the administration of the guards through 1948 throughout the country. This month’s release includes 3,388 listings for family names starting with the letters Kaf. The documents are from the Israel State Archives
Voters Histadrut Herzelia 1941 – (images available)
It includes the names of 1,375 voters in 1941 for the Histadrut (general) election, in the Herzeliyya area. This list was found in the Lavon Institute.
Voters Moazet Hapoalot Herzelia 1941 – (images available)
It includes the names of 636 voters in 1941 for the Moazet Hapoalot election in the Herzeliyya area. This list was found in the Lavon Institute.
Members of the Zionist-Halutz Underground Youth Movements in Hungary
Members of the Hungarian Zionist youth movements accounted for a small percentage of Hungarian Jewry. They were joined by many of the refugees who came mostly from Czechoslovakia and Poland. The youth movements that worked together in the underground were: Hashomer Hatzair, Hanoar Hatzioni, Dror Habonim, Maccabi Hatzair, Bnei Akiva and some members of Beitar.
Southern Italy to Palestine 1944 – no scans
This list provides the names of 563 persons who had fled to Italy from other countries in Europe prior to 1940 and were incarcerated in camps at Bari and Ferramontif. The list is from the JOINT collection and the original file can be found on their website.

National Voters Jerusalem 1949 – (images available) update
The first national elections in Israel were held on 25 January 1949. The election was for the Constituent Assembly, with the name changed from Assembly to Knesset later. According to a census held in preparation for the election, the number of eligible voters consisted of half a million people. Due to the number of voters, this is a work in progress and therefore released in sections. This release includes an additional 16,307 voters eligible to vote in Jerusalem. The documents are from the Israel State Archives.

The government publishes a year book almost every year. This list is of 2,849 people in national and local government offices. These books can be found on the website of the Israel State Archive

Voters Lists 5th Knesset (partial list) 1961 – (images available)
Only a small part of the voters’ list has been released.This release includes an additional 16,432 voters eligible to vote in the national elections.. The documents are from the Israel State Archives.
