IGRA has done a huge cleanup of missing transliterations of names in published databases and standardization on the name of Countries and Localities in Israel. Also added nine new databases and updated four more, adding over 42,741 new listings, many of them with images. With a variety of subjects, from immigration to military, from the Ottoman period to the Israel times after the British mandate, the following preview will give you a good idea about our latest additions. Burials Sepharadim Jerusalem – (images available)
This is the second installment of the collection in the Jerusalem Municipal Archives.  There are two kinds of registries: the Parnas registries and the registries of the Sephardic Community Committee in Jerusalem. This installment includes 3,509 names buried during the years 1853-1893.  The original registries were transcribed into modern Hebrew script by Efraim Levy.

1832-1926 BenDahan Mohel Ledger Mogador Morocco – (images available) 2,184 records
This is a collection of copies of the ledgers of three generations of BenDahan family that were mohels in Mogador Morocco. The material was donated to IGRA by Judith Joseph in memory of Dr Anthony Joseph. Upon completion of the project the printed material was donated to the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People.

1867-1907  Hamburger Mohel Ledgers – (images available) 1,589 records
Meir Hamburger was a mohel mainly in the area of Yaffo before the founding of Tel Aviv. His ledger includes circumcisions outside of Yafo. This is from a private collection of one of his descendants.

1912-1941 Benjamin Kalir Mohel Ledger – (images available) 1,564 records
Benjamin Kalir was a mohel in the Petach Tikva area and his ledgers are in the Oded Yarkoni Archives Of The History Of Petah Tikva. The handwriting is not always legible.

1919-1935 Register of Births and Deaths in Palestine – (images available) 511 records
These records are from the Public Records Office in England and are available on the FamilySearch website.

1919-1947 Thessaloniki –  200 records
After the great fire in Thessaloniki 1917, in which records were destroyed, the Jewish community did their best to reconstruct them. This is just a few of the birth records, and the first of more records to come.

They are in Ladino, transliterated into Hebrew and English, found today at the Central Archives for the History of the Jewish People in Jerusalem.

1920 Casualties in the Riots in Jerusalem  – (images available) 139 records
The list is of casualties treated in the Rothschild (Hadassah) Hospital in Jerusalem. It was found on a Wikipedia site in Hebrew on the internet.

1948 Wounded Hospitalized in the Hadassah Hospital Tel Aviv – (images available) 91 records
This file is from the Israel State Archives / Ministry of Health. It includes lists of wounded citizens and soldiers during November and December 1948 hospitalized in the Hadassah Municipal Hospital in Tel Aviv.

1946 Injured in the Bombing of the King David Hotel – (images available) 64 records
The list is from the Department of Health of the Government of Palestine. It was found in the Israel State Archives. It is a list of those wounded in the bombing of the King David Hotel, where the British administrative headquarters for Mandatory Palestine was housed in the southern wing. The attack was by the Irgun, a militant right-wing Zionist underground organization.

1937-1990 Residents Settlements – (images available) 4,118 records
This is a collection of documents of various years from various files in the Israel State Archives, dealing with the following settlements in Israel:  Ahihud, Balfuriyya, Be’er Toviyya, Be’erotayim, Beit Hanan, Beit Zera, Benyamina, Beit Halevi, Gan Hayim, Gan Shelomo, Gizmo, Giv’at Ada, Habonim, Hagor, Hagoshrim, Herzeliyya, Jerusalem, Kefar Truman, Kefar Vitkin, Magdeel, Mikve Yisra’el. Nahalal, Nahlat Ganim, Netaya, Omets, Petah Tikva, Ramat Rahel, Rinnatya, Sede Ilan, Sede Nehemya, Sede Yits’hak, Shafir, Shamir, Sitria, Tel Aviv, Tel Mond, Tel Tsur, Tsur Moshe and Yarhiv.

1946 Bricha Movement  (no images available, a URL link to the original file) update
Bricha was a clandestine movement to bring Jews from Eastern and Central Europe to Palestine following the Holocaust. The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) helped provide support to the migrants as they passed through the American zones in Germany and Austria. This specific list documents Jews who had reached the border town of Nachod in June-December 1946. Information includes name (rendered in Czech), birthdate, and birthplace. It is the second of three parts of the document containing 12,454 persons. The documents are from the JDC Archives in New York.

1947 Palestine Police General Orders  – (images available) 381 records
This is a small part of the file of one of three Palestine Police General Orders folders found in the Israel State Archives.  These were issued every week.

1949 National Voters Tel Aviv – (images available) update
The first national elections in Israel were held on 25 January 1949. The election was for the Constituent Assembly, with the name changed from Assembly to Knesset later. According to a census held in preparation for the election, the number of eligible voters consisted of half a million people. Due to the number of voters, this is a work in progress and therefore released in sections. This release includes  an additional 15,928 voters eligible to vote in Tel Aviv-Yafo. The documents are from the Israel State Archives.
