The holiday of Pesach requires us to tell the “family” story and to pass the history along to future generations. As genealogists we continue to look for sources to fill out our personal family story in order not to forget and to tell our children and theirs.

IGRA continues to work on additional resources has new databases to share with you! Check out the Slideshare preview.

April additions:
1949 Telephone Directory – North – English: The directory was printed in three parts: Jerusalem, the Northern section of the country and the Central part of the country. It includes businesses, government offices and private phones.

1940 Medical Practitioners: This is a list of Doctors, Pharmacists, Dentists and Midwives who have been licensed in accordance with the various Ordinances regulating their professions published by the Department of Health. The booklets were found in the National Library of Israel.

Conquerors & Builders: 50 Years to the Jewish Worker in Petah Tikva: Published by the Petah Tikva Workers’ Council in 1955.

The Jacob Dynasty: This is an index of names of the descendants of the Jakob family (formerly Klein) from Nyirbator (Bater) Hungary. There are those who have shown that this family is connected to Yosef Karo who authored the Shulchan Aruch.

We hope you are able to find new resources for your family story!

Chag Sameach!!
