On Sunday, March 4, 2012 Daniel Horowitz gave a lecture in Spanish on” Beginning Genealogy Research” to a group of immigrants from Spanish speaking countries living in Ashkelon. OLEI, the Latin American and Spanish Immigrant Olim Association in Israel, initiated the contact with IGRA, the ‘Mifal HaPais’ Club for the Elderly hosted the lecture and were very gracious and welcoming. Those in attendance were interested in the process of gathering information and the variety of places to turn in furthering their research. The lively “Q & A” following the lecture provided an opportunity to go into more depth in some areas.
IGRA welcomes the opportunity to speak in other communities and languages.
